Conservation Commission continues Nelson Street home hearing, sets erosion deadlines

EAST LONGMEADOW — April 8, 2026 — East Longmeadow Conservation Commission advances Hidden Pond subdivision's final lot while holding a Nelson Street home proposal for further review. The board, chaired by Anthony Zampichini and meeting April 8, voted unanimously to issue a negative three determination for a proposed single-family home at 12 Hidden Pond Drive — clearing the last undeveloped parcel in the Hidden Pond subdivision for the building-permit stage — subject to conditions requiring the applicant to confirm or reinstall permanent limit-of-work boundary markers, install a silt fence, and place a construction tracking pad at the property entrance. The commission separately approved a partial certificate of compliance for four lots at 4, 6, 8, and 10 Happy Acres Lane for applicant Fedrock Financial LLC, whose limit of work falls entirely outside the 100-foot wetland buffer. Notice of Intent NOI 2026-01 for a home at 0 Nelson Street was continued to April 22, with the applicant directed to install hay bales and straw wattles along the site's steep, stream-adjacent slope by April 15.
