Commission approves two wetlands construction permits

East Longmeadow Conservation Commission clears two wetlands permits, presses two overdue cleanup cases. Meeting without Chair Elizabeth Stoughton, members Megan Logan, Anthony Zampiceni, Thomas O'Brien and Jason Gumpert unanimously approved a new single-family home at 3 Farmer Circle and an addition at 275 Hampden Road, both with standard erosion-control conditions. The commission also closed out a 301 Chestnut Street solar-project compliance case and continued a partial certificate request at 17 Ramona's Way to September 23 after inspectors found stored firewood and pallets inside the site's work limit.
On two open enforcement cases, Planning and Conservation Coordinator Alex Grigorov said a Somers Road contractor still had not been formally hired past a missed deadline, with a Friday, September 11 ultimatum pending, while a 30 Vineland Avenue restoration plan, already late since a July 18 deadline, was pushed to October so invasive regrowth would not skew a topographic survey.
