Select Board · Meeting of October 20, 2026

Blandford Select Board voted unanimously to move forward with creating a part-time facilities and grounds manager position. Chair Jacqueline Coury said the town currently has "no properties," "no property management" and "no facilities" oversight across dozens of sites, from Bicentennial Park to the water treatment plant. Staff member Christina drafted a job description and property inventory for the board's review, estimating the role at 20 to 40 hours weekly.

The board agreed to fund the position this year through free cash and place it on the warrant for the next special town meeting, expected between November and early December. Separately, the board deferred a roughly $1,550 to $1,600 reimbursement request tied to veteran-themed fence streamers pending an exact invoice, and scheduled a November 17 executive session with the Board of Assessors on a tax matter at "89 Chester."
