East Longmeadow Board of Health Issues Final Repair Deadlines for Two Rental Properties
EAST LONGMEADOW — May 14, 2026 — East Longmeadow Board of Health issues final repair deadlines and approves four-town public health agreement. The board voted unanimously Thursday on all business at its May 14 virtual meeting, granting a final 30-day extension through June 26, 2026 to the owner of 41 Pleasant Street, Angeline Noel, to correct violations from a December 19, 2025 housing inspection, with the explicit condition that the property cannot be re-rented until all items are resolved; remaining issues include basement water intrusion, a cracked bedroom door, and failing window weatherproofing. The owner at 36 Fraser Drive, identified only as Mr. Sarah, received an extension to July 2 after a court order gave him his first property access on May 13. The board also approved an Inter-Municipal Agreement with Agawam, West Springfield, and Westfield for the Public Health Excellence for Shared Services Grant, which health agent Tammy said had cleared its final legal and insurance hurdles the afternoon of the meeting; consulting firm BME Strategies is already on the ground doing strategic planning for the collaborative while all four towns move to sign the agreement.
