Southwick Finance Committee approves package of FY 2026 year-end transfers unanimously

SOUTHWICK — June 23, 2026 — Southwick Finance Committee approves year-end departmental transfers and names acting leadership ahead of June 30 close. The committee voted unanimously at its June 23 meeting to approve a package of fiscal year 2026 year-end reserve fund transfers covering cemetery salary overruns, library maintenance repairs, sewer grinder pump costs, and an outright replacement of the Treasurer-Collector's decade-old copier, funded through an unused bond anticipation interest line item. Paul Conley was elected acting vice chair, with a member identified as RJ serving as acting chair in absentia. A Board of Health representative identified as Kayleen secured a separate $3,000 transfer to cover Title V certification costs after the department lost its health director in late October. The committee also authorized the acting chair and acting vice chair to sign any additional year-end reserve fund transfer documents through June 30 without reconvening.
