Select Board · Meeting of February 2, 2026

Longmeadow's Select Board approved the transfer of the Bottle Shop's liquor license to new owners planning a late-summer reopening on Shaker Road. The board voted 5-0 to approve the transfer to Bottle Shop Wine & Liquor LLC, with Darsh Patel as manager, and separately voted 5-0 to extend the license through December 31, 2026. Chair Josh Levine told seller James Thomas he felt "especially treated unfairly" and that his "name was dragged through the mud" over a missed filing deadline but voted yes anyway.

The board also appointed seven residents, including Paul Dunkerley, Sara Gregg and Ryan McCollum, to a Future Building Use Task Force after a tiebreaker vote. Resident Tom Shea pressed the board on oversight of the town's $30 million fiber-optic bond debt.
