Ludlow Hockey Association opens 2026-27 Jr. Lions registration, including new girls' divisions.

LUDLOW -- The town's high school sports slate was quiet this week, with no Ludlow High School games listed on ArbiterLive, but the youth hockey and baseball associations both had news to share.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Ludlow Hockey Association has opened registration for its 2026-27 Jr. Lions teams. Novice Learn to Play (U6) registration is now open, and the association says limited openings remain in several divisions: Mite (U8) levels A, B and C; Squirt (U10) levels A, B and C; Peewee (U12) levels A and B; and Girls Hockey for U8-U10 and U19. The association noted it is considering part-time players for some age groups and asked interested families to email ludlowhockey@gmail.com with the player's name, date of birth, prior-season team, upcoming-season team, and whether they're seeking games-only or practice-and-games participation. LHA, which has run youth hockey in the region since 1972, is also accepting coaching applications for the 2026-27 staff; questions can be directed to Jim Goodreau.

The Ludlow Baseball Association's website continues to highlight last season's champions -- the WMass Suburban Junior Champions and the JLS Koufax champions -- and the organization is seeking parent volunteers to help with events, asking those interested to email ludlowbaseball@gmail.com. LBA is also offering team and individual photo packages through Memories in a Flash Photography, to be scheduled on a team-by-team basis, and gear is available through the association's Squad Locker store.
