Longmeadow Soccer Association's fall travel evaluations wrapped up earlier this month ahead of the 2026–27 season.
LONGMEADOW -- With high school sports on a summer break and Little League's spring in-town season winding down, the week of June 22–28 was a relatively quiet one on the local sports calendar.
YOUTH LEAGUES
The Longmeadow Soccer Association completed its Fall 2026 travel-team evaluations on June 6 and June 14 at Russell Field. Players in the U10 through U14 age groups — grades 4 through 8 in the fall — were required to participate in the two-day evaluation format. Incoming U8 and U9 players were not evaluated. Teams will be built from those results for the fall travel season. Families with travel-related questions can reach the association at travel@longmeadowsoccer.org.
Longmeadow Little League's website notes that the Summer All-Stars travel program for ages 9U through 11U and the 12U Little League World Series All-Stars team operate in July within District 2, which includes Agawam, Amherst, Belchertown, Easthampton, Gateway, Holyoke, Northampton, Southampton, and Westfield. The league also lists a fall in-town program beginning in September for players ages 7 and up. No game results or standings were reported for this period.
