SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield License Commission dismissed a complaint against the Irish Ale House after complainants failed to appear. The commission voted 5-0 to dismiss the complaint, received by email Feb. 8, against Build an Ale House LLC at 536-540 Worthington Street. Attorney Schmidt said he had extensive contact with the complainants, who received notice by email and mail, and that the commission had only an email and Facebook posts to go on.
Commissioners said the accusation was serious enough that the complainants should have attended. Manager of record Daniel Dineen was present. The commission also approved its Feb. 25 minutes, 4-0 with one abstention.
