License Commission · Meeting of April 8, 2026
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield License Commission voted 5-0 to approve relocating Sullivan's Allen Street package store to Island Pond Road. Attorney Daniel Kelly told the commission the move to 126 Island Pond Road, Suite 2, is tied to a unanimously approved plan for owner-occupied condominiums at 390 Allen Street, and that hours would stay 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Abutter Julie Marie George said "48 hours is really not enough" notice and asked for an extension, citing a neighboring autism therapy program; a person identified as the city's attorney said notice was proper. The commission also approved a BYOB license for Taste of Tradition at 174 Main Street and continued the Racing Mart transfer at 1487 Bay Street to April 22 because the newspaper ad was not done.
