Blandford Select Board Previews Eversource Substation Hearing, Tables December Minutes
Select Board 2026-02-02 Part 2 · Meeting of February 2, 2026
Blandford Select Board previews EFSB hearing on Eversource substation and plans town hall office reorganization. At the February 2 meeting, Chair Jacqueline Coury briefed the three-member board on a public hearing scheduled for February 3 before the Energy Facilities Siting Board, the state body overseeing energy projects of 25 megawatts or more, where residents could register to speak about the proposed Eversource substation expansion. Coury noted 17 EFSB and Eversource representatives would arrive for a 3:30 p.m. site walk before a 6:30 p.m. public session in the Select Board room.
The board also approved the November 24, 2025 meeting minutes unanimously and tabled December 8 minutes to the following week. Discussion of an upcoming library relocation prompted a broader proposal to reorganize town hall offices, with department heads set to weigh in at the next monthly meeting.
