Aerospace Group Acquires Industrial Precision, Adding Westfield Facility

WESTFIELD — A machining company with a Westfield facility is joining a larger aerospace manufacturing group after an acquisition announced this week, while wildlife specialists at the city's Air National Guard base rescued an injured bird of prey found near the flight line.

Alinabal Group has acquired Industrial Precision, Inc., a move company officials say expands Alinabal's precision-machining capabilities for aerospace customers and folds in Industrial Precision's Westfield, Massachusetts facility. Industrial Precision was founded in 1974. The deal was announced in a release distributed through Alinabal Group, with Steven Gore listed as the company contact; further deal terms were not disclosed.

Separately, Airfield Management staff and U.S. Department of Agriculture wildlife specialists rescued an injured young kestrel found near the flight line at the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base. Base officials describe wildlife management as a major part of flight-line safety, with keeping birds clear of the path of flying jets a critical, ongoing task.
